À l’origine de cette œuvre, un détail presque insignifiant : trois petites traces de rouille apparues sous une serrure, probablement provoquées par le frottement répété des clés contre la tôle. L’artiste choisit de ne pas modifier les teintes naturelles issues de cette oxydation, mais simplement d’en proposer un cadrage différent.
De cette approche naît une composition subtile où la matière brute se transforme en langage pictural. Les marques laissées par le temps deviennent des vibrations visuelles, comme si le son lui-même venait imprimer son rythme sur la surface. Dans cette lente montée d’intensité, les traces se muent en résonances, évoquant une partition silencieuse où l’oreille se fait regard.
« Intonation » explore ainsi la capacité du réel à se métamorphoser en poésie, révélant dans l’accident et l’usure une puissance expressive insoupçonnée.

At the origin of this work lies a seemingly insignificant detail: three small rust marks formed beneath a lock, probably caused by the repeated brushing of keys against the metal surface. The artist chose not to alter the natural hues born of this oxidation, but rather to reframe them. From this approach emerges a subtle composition where raw matter transforms into pictorial language.
The marks left by time become visual vibrations, as though sound itself had imprinted its rhythm onto the surface. In this slow crescendo, the traces turn into resonances, evoking a silent score where the ear gives way to the gaze.
Intonation thus explores the ability of reality to metamorphose into poetry, revealing within accident and decay an unsuspected expressive power.
